Our governors are responsible for the management of the academy.

Florence MacWilliams is currently governed by the Educo Academies Trust. You can access their governance information here. The Board of Educo Academies Trust requested to join the Co-op Academies Trust in late 2023. This request was approved by the Department for Education in January 2024.  

As the academy prepares to join the Co-operative Academies Trust,  their Trust Board will appoint a sub-committee to oversee the local governance arrangements, known as the Academy Governing Council (AGC). The group will be in place effective 1 September 2024 and will comprise elected members from the parental and staffing bodies, members appointed from the Co-op Group to bring their expertise and experience, and members representative of the local community, to provide insight into local partnership links, or to bring a particular skill set.
